Employee Spotlight: Lisa Twilley

T2 has some of the brightest minds in the parking industry, and each employee brings a unique set of talents and experiences to the table. We thought you might like to learn more about these talented individuals. In our Employee Spotlight series, you’ll get to know one employee each month. This month we talked to to Lisa Twilley, an AP/AR Accountant.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Fishers, IN.

What drew you to working in accounting?

A high school teacher influenced me to consider accounting as a career. I enjoyed doing T charts and writing journal entries every day in class.

How did you end up in the parking industry?

My first job focused on robotics and manufacturing equipment, mostly for automotive businesses. A recruiter helped me find this opportunity. T2 was closer to home and the vibe seemed more appealing.

What do you do as an AP/AR Accountant for T2?

I process all Accounts Payable (AP) transactions for the US, and the majority for Canada. Accounts Payable pertains to funds going out. We pay money to our vendors, who range from subcontractors to the electric companies and internet providers for our offices. I’m also responsible for processing employee expense reimbursements for payroll.

What’s something that you think people don’t know about parking that you find interesting?

I like that it is everywhere you go. You’ve got to park somewhere! I think for others T2 makes parking solutions easy and convenient. For example, our pay stations allow for multiple payment methods as well as extending parking by phone. As a consumer I can appreciate the ease of adding more time from where I’m at rather heading back to the machine.

What do you enjoy about working at T2?

I enjoy my work and that I always have something to keep me busy. The people at T2 also make it better. I tend to be serious all the time, but there a few folks that always make me laugh or just ask how I’m doing.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I jog when I’m stressed but HATE running.
